I have usually found Indian authors to be a quick read but this one took a really long time for me to finish reading. The reason?
Though it made a good read it wasn't a quick page turner as it makes you ponder and think over issues and situations which the protagonist finds himself in be it relationship he finds himself in or tough bosses in office. We all can irrespective of the gender finds ourselves in such situations in some point or other in our lives.
A bad day at work , dirty politics in office , stress ,pressure and on top of that a clingy girlfriend, Obrokranti finds himself in all of this.

"She goes through My Phone, Destroys all My contacts of Girls. My Any Meeting is an Affair. I am in Love or am a Prisoner"

This book can be set as a guide for men and women alike who are in relationships.
It helps us to find out where we stand in our relationship. Whether we need to be in it or move out of it.

When one fall in love nothing seems to matter. Our world seems to rotate around that single person in our life. The person becomes our first priority. We forget all other things. We would want to be with that person all the time. Call and message him when he is not around. But what happens when the initial phase wears off?
What happens when the love of our life is not really a love but a headache whom we want out ASAP? What happens when whether you like it or not that person have taken over your life?

"Nothing is sacred anymore. Space is non-existent & Porn is banned."

Such was the relationship of Obrokranti and Radha. Obrokranti who left Kolkata and came to Mumbai in search of a bit of adventure to find himself stuck in a difficult situation with his girlfriend Radha.
Radha who not finding fancy to work or do job outside her kind makes it her life's mission to control her boyfriend and is insecure about herself and thus becomes a clingy girlfriend to him.

As we read the Novel we learn certain things to make or break a relationship.

Trust and Faith are two main pillars of any relationship.
But when any of these are shaken that relationship won't last long.
Though Madhuri have shown us a guide as to what men wants from their women.
We can't fail to think,

"Is not that what men wants us to do?"
"Are men not the ones who becomes extensively possessive about the girls?"

"Do men not want their girl to constantly message them about day to day activities so that they can feel lucky about it?"
"And when the girl does the same she becomes a clingy girlfriend?"

I too had a love story is autobiographical novel of Ravinder Singh which was written in memory of his love Khushi. It hooked the audience instantly and still is one of the national bestsellers of the time.

The story is almost like a fairy-tale. How a guy made a matrimonial profile without giving any thought to it. How he meet Khushi through it, and love starts blooming. Both were deeply in love even before they met each other.
Then just like any love marriage turned into arranged marriage kind off way. The cute couple introduce each others families and a date was fixed for their engagement. Both were on the seventh sky in absolute bliss. But as destiny would have it. Not all love stories have a happy ending.

Khushi met with an accident on the morning of her engagement and died few days later. leaving Ravin shattered to pick up the pieces of their memories.

Now we all may wonder what's new here?

Khushi was gone. Ravin was depressed.
We might even think God was mean towards them. That such a loving couple couldn't be together.

After reading the book we might feel bad and think
"Did this had to happen? Were they not meant to be together?"

But as its said God have plans for all. This might have been his plan for Ravin.
He got to know what real love is in the form of Khushi. Had it not happened would Ravinder Singh been a famous author now? Would we have known them? Would he have been writing one bestsellers after another?

Gone Girl - What comes to ones mind when we hear the word?

"A girl who have gone crazy?"
"A girl who is missing?"
"A girl who have left?"
Well not many things comes to ones mind.

But can we connect to such a story?

Gone Girl is the story of a woman who goes missing on the morning of their fifth wedding anniversary.

So how do we connect with it?
This thought keeps coming to ones mind. But as we start reading it we come to see its written from two perspective; one from the husband Nick Dunne and other his missing wife Amy.

This novel is a complete thriller suspense and drama. There are various aspects relationships, love, marriage, losing of job, cheating, deceiving ,lying, death, public image, extra marital affairs and murder.

Everyone of us at some point or other in our life goes through one of these problems. Where we strive through and we question ourselves - What are we doing? Where are we going? What have we done with ourselves ?With our partners? The same question which Nick and Amy asks after five years of marriage.

There comes a point in our life where we take others for granted and we forget the sacrifices which were made for us. We get so self obsessed with our problems where we stop thinking if our better half are happy with us. Same which happens here. With Amy and Nick (The Couple).

So who is to blame? Someone who have really committed the crime or someone for whom the crime took birth?

Everyone have different perception to life. To dejection. Some believe in moving forward and some in taking revenge. Is taking revenge a crime?
What are the situations in which a mind things of taking revenge and committing a crime?

If one deeply things from the mind of a criminal; the situations which have forced him to commit that crime we will come to know the truth behind those crimes.

Now I won't say that criminals are not wrong. They are wrong in the sense they couldn't control there minds. Crimes happens when minds losses control.

So what does Gone Girl really portraits? As already mentioned it evokes many a feelings , many a people can connect with it at some of of time. and different mind things different ways so we can easily say it shows many a thing to all.

It leaves a thought provoking message to all.
A husband - Don't forget your wife when you are going through a bad time.

A wife - Teaching a lesson to husband is good but not at the expense of ruining his image.

Parents - Let a child develop on its own. Not every kid is a Guinness.

Lover - Love is blind but shouldn't break someone's home.

Police - Not every husband whose wife goes missing is a suspect.

Media - Earning money and publicity getting on the top is okay. But do we really need to twist so much??

"What have we done to each other?"

"When two people LOVE each other

and they can't make it work,

That's a real TRAGEDY."
