Story of a Girl and her journey of self-discovery as a woman and love.

Our Impossible Love by Durjoy DuttaDurjoy Dutta is a young Indian author who have become one of the bestseller in a short span of time. His writing style, language and stories are such which instantly attracts young audiences. His novels not only tells a story but also sets an example which is a guidance for young generations.

When I looked at the title it was like its just any other love stories where religion or social thing will be the barrier.Which was true in a way it had a relationship between a teacher and his student.

So I started reading it (which took just a few hours to finish), its almost like out of habit that I start comparing myself with the characters of the book with myself or people around me .

So when it first started with Aisha Paul getting panicked with the onset of attaining puberty I instantly start thinking of the time I got it and was striking out all the similarities and differences. Wishing I too had a mother as loving like her. My mother is also a darling but bit Orthodox type.

And again so for the next character who came up Danish Roy. His one was also similar to mine. Being an average student all through.Having a more successful sibling. Having expectations from parents. Were all too common things which any average student can connect with.

The characters were all ordinary people whom all can connect with at some point or other point of their life. As oneself or someone around us.
The language is also not as Shakespeare which would require a degree in Literature.
It was more which we Indians can connect with.

As the story starts progressing some disturbing thoughts ought to creep up in mind. Like do it need to be written?
Okay I might sound old school types but do we need to use the F words? Or teenage sex or alcohol  ?
Few questions crop up in my mind-
Are these things really happening in schools nowadays?
Have the teenagers evolved so much that such things are going on?
Have these always been going on and I was the only one who was left out of these while I was in school?
At second thought it don't look that unbelievable also
I mean the kids now have access to mobiles and internet and are more open towards discussions like this.

Few issues like rape by a known person and the way it was tackled deserves kudos.

Gays - which are hot issues nowadays were taken coolly by the family of the guy.

Then there were best friends who are there in bad times.

and finally the relationship between a student and a teacher who falls in love with each other reminds me of an incident in my school. One of my classmates had eloped with our new English teacher.

Our impossible love shows how love can happen anywhere between anyone.
Just like Aisha and Danish, who though very much different had found something common.

It shows how Danish who have always been a average person, who have been struggling to be someone tries and bring about a change in Aisha's life when she was undergoing hormonal changes.

Though overall the book is a good one and can be good for teenagers going through hormonal changes or for parents of such children. Young people who are discovering themselves.
I found some parts to be offensive which can misguide teenagers going through this phase.
Like alcohol in parties meant for school kids , use of abusive words. Some of us may argue and say that teenagers nowadays are not new to any of these. But what about kinds who is still ignorant of such acts? Are we not ripping them of there ignorance? Are we not overworking there growing up system to make them believe that having girlfriend and boyfriend in schools are mandatory, same goes for smoking and drinking? and for those who don't follow these are being bullied till they give in.

I appreciate our Indian writers who with books like this are drawing young minds towards reading but at the same time it feels a bit apprehensive that we should use the xxx things.

This is more like becoming a thing of present where good classic movies are being replaced and judged by items songs and short dresses.

And to end it with there is I M possible even in impossible. Which stands true for any situations we find ourselves in. Its just the way we want to see it.
